Area Sales Engineer – Southeast


Description: A vacancy has arisen for an Area Sales Engineer, covering the Southeast.

Key responsibilities:

  • To meet both Individual and Branch Sales Targets
  • Manage all aspects of the sales process including lead generation, qualification, evaluation (including working with sub-contractors) and account management (including where required debt resolution)
  • Developing a true relationship approach with the customers
  • Professionally present the company to all parties, demonstrating good communicational, organisational and ethical standards.
  • To continue growth of HPC and maintain an acceptable market share in the designated area.
  • Allocated “key” accounts will require close personal ownership and excellent relationship management
  • Owning and managing turnkey projects, as and when required
  • To work with HPC approved sub-contractors for the preparation of quotations and tenders.
  • Manage and track customer and transactional information into CRM based system; logging all sales activity within the established processes; keeping customer details current and accurate and to use all standard HPC sales tools, templates.
  • Develop and deliver regular (monthly) forecast/reporting of sales closing and project moving forward; attend and present this information at regular sales meetings.

Key skills for this role:

  • Have good experience and technical knowledge of compressed air equipment.
  • Excellent communication and negotiating skills
  • Able to select and highlight benefits of Compressed Air Equipment and Service Plans based on customer requirements
  • Self-motivation
  • Great organisational ability

Qualifications and experience:

  • Proven track record (in 5 years) of successful sales delivery, ideally within Compressed Air marketplace.
  • Knowledge of compressed air
  • Ideally BCAS DIPCAM (or similar) qualification.
