HPC Achieves ISO 14001:2015 for Environmental Management System

HPC EMS & ISO 14001:2015

HPC is delighted to confirm that it has successfully achieved ISO 14001:2015, the new standard of accreditation for it's Environmental Management System (EMS) covering both HPC Compressed Air Systems and HPC Precision Engineering.

HPC conducts its business in a manner that prevents pollution and minimises environmental impact with the aim of conserving the world’s resources and since August 2004, has been working to the environmental management system BS EN ISO 14001:2004.

The ISO 14000 group of standards provides practical tools for a diverse range of companies and organisations to manage their environmental responsibilities. ISO 14001:2015 focuses on environmental systems to achieve this. It sets out the criteria for an environmental management system and can be certified to. The standard maps out a framework and provides the assurance to company management, employees, customers and external stakeholders that environmental impact is being monitored, measured and improved.

Mark Chapman, Management Representative - QHSE Systems at HPC explained; "In day-to-day operations, HPC seeks to minimise waste, reduce energy consumption and reduce harmful emissions. Recycling of waste has, for some time, been commonplace throughout the company, from office paper recycling through to specialist fluids being cleaned and re-used. HPC is also committed to work with suppliers that share its environmental views and common goals".

The environment and our responsibility to protect it, whether at a local level or globally, has always and continues to be a high priority in HPC. Having understood and embraced the requirements of the new environmental standard, HPC remain committed to employing a team approach to delivering continual improvement and to further reducing our environmental impact.
