HPC KAESER is switching to climate-friendly refrigerant R513-a for all its current and future models
Refrigeration dyers require a refrigerant to function. The ones on the market today are all fluorinated greenhouse gases (F-gases). If they are emitted into the air (for example, in the case of a leak), they have a substantial impact on climate change.
Consequently, the European Union wishes to reduce emissions by driving refrigerants with a serious impact on climate change out of the market, promoting the use of more climate-friendly alternatives.
In future, the use of high global warming potential (GWP) refrigerants in maintenance and repair work will be prohibited and as of 2020, refrigeration dryers using high GYPs cannot be offered in the market in the EU.
