Bells of Lazonby partnered with Lakeland Fluid Power, their local HPC Authorised Distributor, to analyse and optimise their systems.
HPC KAESER Air Demand Analysis (ADA) equipment was installed on both existing compressed-air systems to measure air and energy consumption, costs, and CO₂ emissions. Using HPC KAESER Energy Simulation Software (KESS) and real-world operating data, HPC simulated the combined system’s performance and annual energy usage.
The existing system consumed more than 249,500 kWh per year, costing approximately £54,899 and producing 58.1 tonnes of CO₂.
Through simulation and system redesign, HPC identified the optimal configuration to achieve maximum energy savings.
With the customer’s agreement, Lakeland Fluid Power supplied and installed:
- One HPC KAESER ASD 50 TSFC variable-speed, direct-drive air-cooled compressor
- The existing HPC KAESER ASD 50 T fixed-speed compressor as back up
- Internal heat-recovery systems on both units
- A combination of new and existing HPC KAESER and Parker air-treatment equipment, including a Parker OFAS HL110 low-energy adsorption dryer with vacuum-purge technology
