HPC’s newly launched nitrogen (N2) gas skid for the food & beverage (F&B) industry enables F&B manufacturers to radically improve the efficiency of their packaging operations while saving up to 90% in costs.

A plug & play solution for the F&B market, HPC's N2 Skid enables manufacturers to generate their own N2 on site, reducing the need for costly & logistically challenging liquid or gas cylinder deliveries.

How does HPC's N2 Skid work?

HPC's N2 Skid delivers N2 with ultra-low 0.5% Oxygen (O2) content, ensuring F&B packaged products maintain their quality & freshness. HPC’s advanced filtration systems ensure gas purity by removing impurities & delivering O2 at the desired O2 content.

 

The HPC N2 gas skid incorporates:

Why is N2 used in F&B packaging?

N2 displaces O2, which is an oxidising agent (which causes the decay of food). This helps to preserve F&B products, giving them a longer shelf life. Furthermore, N2 also protects the nutrients in the food.

Many F&B applications across the UK have switched from buying and storing N2 in bulk, to onsite N2 generation, through HPC, to help protect their products from the undesirable effects of O2.
