Kerr Compressor Engineers prides itself on working with customers long-term - and keeping their customers' HPC KAESER equipment in such peak condition, that they last for decades, too.
One of Kerr's customers - a commercial vehicle workshop - is the proud owner of an Airtower which has been running for 20 years.
It still has the original airend - and there have been zero breakdowns in the past decade,
- Machine: SK26 Airtower
- Age of machine: 20 years
- Total hours run: 151,278
- Length of customer relationship: 30+ years
- Key to success: "The machine is regularly serviced every 3 months using genuine spares without fail," says Service Director, Cameron Kerr.
Another customer - a specialist machining service - has been running a CSDX137 SFC for the past 19 years.
- Machine: CSDX137 SFC
- Age of machine: 19.5 years
- Total hours run: 135,499
- Length of customer relationship: 30+ years
- Key to success: "This machine is under a total cover contract. As such the machine has been maintained religiously every 3 months using genuine spare parts and lubricants" says Cameron. "Additionally the machine was originally specified correctly with ADA / KESS which has resulted in identical Run - Load hours therefore meeting the demand profile perfectly."
The last customer - which works in plastic enclosures - has not one but five pieces of HPC KAESER equipment that it has operated for the past 16-18 years.
- Machine: DSDX302 SFC, CSDX162 SFC, CSDX162 (x 2), N502G
- Age of machine: 16-18 years
- Total hours run: 116,836, 128,083, 105,962, 105,215, 99,672
- Length of customer relationship: 20+ years
- Key to success: "All machines are on a total cover contract, using genuine spares & lubricants," says Cameron. "All machines have had regular airends at 40, 000 hours. And as all machines are controlled by several SAMS I believe the reliability is down to correct sizing of the equipment and therefore almost 100% load patterns."
