Measure, so you can manage

How HPC KAESER's analytic tools KESS and ADA can help you maximise the efficiency of your compressed air generation.

This process is capable of reducing the total energy requirement by up to 90%! “The HPC KAESER Way” is a set of basic steps a business can take to maximise the efficiency of its compressed air generation. The steps of "The HPC KASESER Way" cover:

  • An analysis of your business’s requirements and current compressed air station.
  • The creation of a tailor-made system in accordance with your requirements
  • Suggestions for improvements to the existing system, such as leak mitigation, or updates to more advanced equipment such as a master controller
  • Facilitating up to 96% energy recovery and reuse.
  • Enabling you to only pay for the compressed air you use!

Using HPC KAESER's latest iteration of the Air Demand Analysis (ADA) and KAESER Energy Saving System (KESS), a portable interface that simply clamps into the existing system, a trained HPC KAESER technical salesperson can measure, then analyse your business’s compressed air needs with a minimum of time and disruption.

Using our Air Demand Analysis (ADA) we generate precise consumption profiles of your system, allowing us to determine your actual air demand – throughout all operating sectors and at different loads.

Armed with this information, we can then recommend system solutions with maximum efficiency, based on the specific requirements.

Using the KAESER Energy Saving System (KESS), we process the data determined by the ADA, and design a compressed air supply for you that saves up to 30% of your energy costs – possibly more!

Identifying inefficiencies

Equally, we can make suggestions that may be as simple as identifying leaks and checking correct dimensioning of the current compressed air piping. Leaks are one of the biggest sources of inefficiency in a compressed air system and therefore, can be a huge drain on energy costs.

Other system solutions may be more involved, depending on the nature of the business, such as the purchase of new equipment. HPC KAESER machines are some of the most energy-efficient and dependable on the market. Based on the results of our analysis, we can use our simulation program to create a tailor-made system in accordance with the customer’s requirements.

For example, energy savings of up to 30% for compressors and 50% for refrigeration dryers are not unusual. Not only that, around 96% of the energy supplied to a compressor can be recovered and reused for heating purposes, whilst around 76% can be used to heat water up to 70 °C.

SIGMA Air Manager 4.0 (SAM 4.0)

Another significant step of ‘The HPC KAESER Way’ is to team the energy-efficient HPC KAESER equipment with a SIGMA Air Manager 4.0 (SAM 4.0).

SAM 4.0 allows the user to maintain intelligent control of the overall air system. For example, it is often possible to reduce the discharge pressure of the compressors, contributing even further energy savings. A decrease of just 1 bar pressure equates to a reduction in energy costs of 6 to 8%. A further advantage is that by decreasing the network pressure, wear and leakage losses are also reduced.

SIGMA AIR UTILITY

Finally, HPC offers tailor-made contracts, with the SIGMA AIR UTILITY so you need only pay for the compressed air used

HPC KAESER analyse the specific compressed air needs and draw up an individual concept – based on what is required. Next, HPC KAESER build, install and operate the compressed air system, then scheduled maintenance is taken care of via HPC or one of its Authorised Distributors.

The agreement also means that the equipment is serviced in line with the current maintenance schedule and therefore is always energy-efficient.

When it comes to compressed air supply, ‘The HPC KAESER Way’ represents positive steps your business can take regarding the environment, as well as the bottom line.
